Clear Pores
Review

The Clear Pores
acne treatment system has 3 steps and aims to be an
inside-and-outside skin care solution. The defining step
here is a twice-a-day herbal supplement that focuses on
ridding the body of unwanted bacteria with mild
detoxification effects. The supplement is all-natural, while
the accompanying cream and cleanser rely more heavily on
ingredients such as salicylic acid and alcohol.
For the topical
steps in the system, Clear Pores attempts to combat acne by
exfoliating your top layer of dead skin cells and unclogging
those pores, including alpha hydroxy acids to try and keep
your skin from getting over-dry in the process. This may
help with reducing inflammation as well, but it depends on
your sensitivity to SA. The exfoliation (topically) +
antibacterial (orally) approach is mainly helpful for those
with mild acne or moderate cases that are largely caused by
bacterial buildup, for which a mild detox is enough. |

Who should try
Clear Pores
It's the herbal
supplement that will make or break the Clear Pores system
for you. If you are looking for a detox solution, but want
to avoid the "purge" effects that a harsher detoxification
supplement can cause, Clear Pores may be the answer. Of
course, that means it will also be a little less effective
than a more powerful supplement, but if your acne is not
severe it may be enough. The exfoliation-based cream and
cleanser should also prove helpful for those with
surface-level acne, depending on how sensitive your skin is
to salicylic acid.
Who should
not
try Clear Pores
Even a mild
detox can still cause the reaction of an initial breakout
when starting out. This isn't really that bad, as your skin
will typically improve soon afterwards (it can actually be a
sign that the treatment is working), but those that can't
handle their acne getting worse before it gets better may
want to pass. And if you have moderate-to-severe acne, the
strength of the detox may simply not be enough.
While less harsh
than some alternatives, with salicylic acid, glycolic acid
and alcohol, there is a still a lot in the Clear Pores
system that can be drying, so those with sensitive skin (or
who have seen poor results with SA in the past) should take
note. And since the topical products target only the skin's
surface, don't expect much impact on deeper pustules or
cysts. You may be better off just buying the supplement
alone.
