Nature's Cure

The Nature's
Cure 2-part acne system is an affordable treatment found at
many retailers. It is available in two specialized formulas
that target men and women separately. The system is composed
of a fairly standard 5% benzoyl peroxide spot treatment
cream, along with a month's supply of homeopathic acne
supplements.
Generally,
anything homeopathic sets off warning bells for me.
Homeopathy aims to "treat like with like", which for acne
sufferers means treating acne with small doses of
ingredients that could cause acne for a healthy
person. That said, the Nature's Cure tablets appear to play
it safe, relying mostly on natural ingredients and extracts
that seem to make sense for promoting healthy skin. Given
that the homeopathic ingredients have little in the way of
medical science backing them, it's hard to tell whether the
unique formulas for men and women make a real difference.
In addition to
their core system, Nature's Cure also offers a body spray
based on salicylic acid, available alone or with the other
products in a bundle. Since the thicker skin on your back
and body is less likely to be irritated by the SA, this
product may be a good choice for combating body acne,
combined with a textured bath sponge and smart daily
supplements. |

Who should try
Nature's Cure
Nature's Cure's
affordable price makes it fairly low risk to try. Back in my
teens, I tried it myself after hearing a radio commercial,
and while the cream worked about as well as any BP cream (if
a little more harsh than On-The-Spot or Acne.org), I sadly
saw no results from the tablets. Still, they may be worth
giving a shot if you have non-standard acne. Many users
report them helping with acne that resulted from allergies
or a poor diet. Unlike standard pills, homeopathic
supplements are taken by letting the tablets dissolve in
your mouth, so if you hate taking normal pills, this may be
an attractive alternative. It's also relatively low hassle
with only 2 tablets per day.
Who should
not
try Nature's Cure
Homeopathic
tablets aren't for everyone. Many people with oily skin and
typical cases of moderate or worse acne will find that
Nature's Cure works no better than if they had simply drank
more water and skipped the tablets altogether. While they
are purported to work faster than typical supplements, the
time to see results can still vary, and like any internal
treatment you shouldn't expect next-day results. The spot
treatment cream is also on the harsh side, opting for a 5%
concentration of BP instead of the gentler 2.5% that is
widely regarded to be just as effective. I'd stick with the
tablets and consider ignoring the cream if you have
sensitive skin.
