Zenmed Derma Cleanse Review

The Zenmed Derma Cleanse system aims to treat acne inside-and-out with a 3-step kit that includes a cleansing gel, a treatment gel, and 2 bottles of Zenmed's herbal detoxifier supplement. The products are not cheap, but at least they give you a decent supply of the supplement pills, which are the real core of this system. The company also offers different systems customized to target specific skin types, as well as side products.

Zenmed is heavy on herbal ingredients, with the exception of the treatment gel (which uses a rather strong concentration of 2% salicylic acid). The cleansing gel is designed to be very gentle, although you shouldn't expect it to do much on its own. In contrast, the treatment gel is harsher, and may cause irritation for those with sensitive skin.

As noted, it's the supplement that will make or break the Derma Cleanse system for you. The herbal detox approach aims to cleanse your bowels and flush any bacterial waste out of your system, which may help if your acne is caused by toxins and not excess skin oil.

Who should try Zenmed Derma Cleanse

If you've got mild-to-moderate acne and your skin is tough enough to handle the 2% salicylic acid, after adjusting you may see good results with Zenmed Derma Cleanse. The herbal detox supplement will help those whose acne is primarily caused by a buildup of toxins within the body (these are generally milder cases of acne). Note that many users who see results report having to stick with it for at least 3 weeks, which is normal for supplements, so just don't go in expecting to be clear the next day.

Who should not try Zenmed Derma Cleanse

Zenmed is quite expensive, and you will likely have to go through an adjustment period when you first start using it. If your skin is sensitive at all, the treatment gel may prove overly harsh. Also, the supplement can take a while to kick in, so the first few weeks may be difficult. If these factors bother you, you're better off saving your money.

The main weakness of the detox approach is that the herbal supplement does not help with oil regulation, so if your acne is caused by something other than impurities in your body (most moderate-to-severe cases have more to do with excess oil), Zenmed may not give satisfactory results.
